CENTRAL NEWS & UPDATES
Last Sunday
Romans 12-15 paints a bold picture of God’s vision for a new humanity, where the mercy of God transforms every relationship and the love of Christ reshapes every life. This spring we will consider what this means for our own lives and relationships, and also how God is calling each of us to take our place within his small, working model of the new creation. This past Sunday Jason Harris began our series “God’s Vision for a New Humanity” with a sermon entitled "A Changed Relationship to God."
Jesus Reconsidered
Christianity somewhat conveniently offers an unbelievable narrative that, if true, literally changes everything. Which raises the question: Is it possible that Christianity is simply wishful thinking — a framework generated by humans who were (and still are) looking to place their hope in a future that’s better than their reality? Check out the most recent video in our Jesus Reconsidered series, and email us your questions at seniorpastor@centralchurchnyc.org!

Six Steps to Loving Your Church
Join us on Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. as Andrew Smith helps us think about how to love our church. We'll consider together how such love can be expressed in a multitude of ways, big and small, Sunday by Sunday, through the ministry that belongs to all of us: the ministry of the pew.
Truth Matters: Fruitful Disagreement in an Age of Division
Robert George, a conservative legal scholar, and Cornel West, a progressive public intellectual, are an ideological odd couple — friends who share a passion for the pursuit of truth. They frequently appear together to model constructive discussion of divisive issues, exploring what it truly means to be a neighbor in a divided world. These two brothers in Christ will be at Central at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29 to demonstrate what genuine civic friendship looks like.

At the same time, we aim to provide a setting in which people who are undecided about their religious commitments may freely investigate the claims of Christianity.
