Executive Director, Head of Operations
Position Summary
Central Presbyterian Church is seeking an experienced, energetic, and skillful Executive Director who has a passion for serving the church and advancing the mission of Central Church and its ministries, including its growing initiative, Resound Project. The preferred candidate has at least 15 years of experience operating religious, educational, not-for-profit, or for-profit organizations with public access venues, and possesses the relevant knowledge, drive, and judgment to plan and accomplish the strategic goals of a complex, multi-dimensional organization in a demanding, fast-paced environment. In addition, the ideal candidate possesses in-depth, hands-on experience overseeing the development of a high-growth organization into a sizeable operation.
Reporting to the Senior Pastor, the Executive Director will serve on the Executive Leadership Team. While the Senior Pastor will lead the development of strategic vision and ministry goals, the Executive Director will take a lead role in the execution and oversight of all operations of Central Church and Resound Project with the goal that the church’s multi-faceted initiatives will be properly executed and implemented, well-coordinated, and reasonably measured for effectiveness. The Executive Director possesses the authority and responsibility to ensure that all human resource and compensation policies are executed across the breadth of the organization.
Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Executive Director is to translate the respective missions and visions of Central Church and Resound Project into effectively functioning operations. The expectation is that the Executive Director’s time will be divided roughly 75%/25% between Central Church and Resound Project.
The Executive Director will support the Senior Pastor and will provide oversight to the staff with respect to administration, finance, development, communications, facilities management, human resources, information technology, and general operations, subject to the direction of the Senior Pastor. An essential element of the job will be setting and pursuing priorities for the development, maturity, and growth of Central Church and Resound Project.

The Executive Pastor will support the Senior Pastor and provide oversight to the staff in specific ministry areas, including pastoral care, congregational life, hospitality and connection, community formation, special programming and events, Christian education, student ministry, children’s ministry, leadership development, volunteer recruitment, evangelism, mission initiatives, service opportunities, and outreach efforts. An essential element of the job will be setting and pursuing priorities for the development, maturity, and growth of Central Church.
In addition, the Executive Pastor will serve the congregation in a pastoral capacity through worship leading, preaching, teaching, counseling, community formation, prayer, discipleship, personal evangelism, officiating weddings and funerals, and coordinating the work of the deacons.

Pastor of Community and Care
Position Summary
Central Presbyterian Church is seeking a relational and experienced pastor who is skilled in grace-based, biblical teaching from a Reformed perspective, gospel-centered community formation and pastoral care, and strategic missional outreach to the city to work under the direction of the Executive Director/Pastor.
Candidates for this position must demonstrate an enthusiastic desire to serve in local church ministry, as evidenced by a love for people and a gift for encouraging them to grow in their commitment to Christ and his mission to the world, and an understanding of and commitment to the theological convictions, vision and values, and philosophy of ministry of Central. This role requires collaborative leadership and entrepreneurial initiative to develop and expand a growing number of ministry programs.
The Pastor of Community and Care will be given opportunities in biblical teaching and discipleship, community formation and pastoral care, Christian education and leadership development, evangelism, mission, service, and the integration of faith and vocation. In addition, the Pastor of Community and Care will be given occasional opportunities to preach and lead worship as needed.

Youth Director
The Youth Director’s primary responsibility is to lead outreach efforts to new students who are not yet Christians or church attenders and to oversee the spiritual growth and pastoral care of the middle school and high school students within the Central community, under the direction of the Executive Pastor and the Senior Pastor. By cultivating meaningful relationships, modeling a life of Christian faithfulness, fostering biblical worship and teaching, and engaging in gospel mission, the Youth Director encourages students to grow in their knowledge and experience of Christ’s love and demonstrates how to live their lives in grateful response to his grace. The Youth Director prioritizes relationship-building and community-formation with middle and high school students; develops and executes age-appropriate programs, curricula, games, events, retreats, camp experiences, and service opportunities; provides support and care to students and their parents; identifies, recruits, trains, and evaluates volunteers; collaborates and communicates with parents, volunteer leaders, church staff, and ministry partners; and manages the youth ministry budget.
